This case is not for Laptops over 15" and IT DOES have a padded area for the Laptop to help protect it. I like the handle because it extends out longer than other cases (I'm Tall) and has compartments to carry folders and books along with a separate compartment for cell phones pens and other school supplies. Great for school. Great price for the money.

This briefcase is a good choice for someone looking for a lightweight, compact rolling briefcase (e.g., for daily commutes to the office) rather than a roomier piece of luggage for business trips. I've been using it for two months and it appears to be of decent quality -- the collapsing handle is beginning to stick in place, but otherwise it's holding up well. Notably, although the marketing images for this briefcase depict a key clip, that feature has been discontinued, so my briefcase arrived without a clip. I have confirmed with the manufacturer (SOLO) that the clip has indeed been discontinued, so don't be surprised when it's missing.

Never use this case for your laptop. There is no cushion at all on both sides and on the top. This case is also too small for a 17" laptop -- it does not fit my 17" HP Pavillion dv9000.
On the bright side, ebag is a store you can trust. I returned this bag without any question. Ebeg emailed me a return label to put on the original box, and I dropped it at a UPS store. In less than 1 week, the money was back on my credit card. If I need to buy any bag later, Ebag is always my first place to go.
